When you think of fall, what is the first thing that comes to mind? If you are a true southerner, chances are one of your very first thoughts is going to be FOOTBALL. Here in the South we eat, sleep and breath football during the fall months. On any given Saturday starting in September, one of the most important questions on a Saturday is going to be, “Where are we watching the game?” Well, we happen to live in an area with a lot of great choices, so our plan today is to highlight some of the best spots to catch the game and cheer on your favorite team!

This place is a local’s favorite year round, but especially during football season! Located in Grayton Beach, Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill has a true sports bar feel. Along with a delicious menu selection, the atmosphere and happy hour simply cannot be beat. Suit up in your team colors and head to Hurricane’s to catch the next game – you’ll be glad that you did!

You may experience a bit of nostalgia at Local Catch on game day – the atmosphere truly resembles that of a bar/restaurant on a college campus. There is always an enthusiastic crowd at Local Catch, which can make for a really exciting game day experience, plus they have excellent food to boot! Reminisce on your college days, cheer on your alma mater and enjoy great food and great company at Local Catch.

boshampsBoshamps Seafood & Oyster House

I know, I know – located on the Destin Harbor, Boshamps can be a bit of a drive for us South Walton folks. However, I can promise you that it will be worth the trip. Boshamps Seafood & Oyster house is the ultimate game day spot with countless TVs and great food and drink specials. As an added bonus, they set up a huge projection screen down by the water for the night games, which makes for a game day experience that is unmatched!

Located on the east end of 30A, this place is a dream come true for football fans! This is a family friendly venue with a wide variety of menu items and over 46 beers on tap. The rooftop bar alone is the perfect reason to head to 723 Whiskey Bravo for the big game, but it doesn’t hurt that they have around 20 TVs scattered throughout the restaurant as well as fire pits and cozy seating located on the rooftop bar. You can’t beat football with a really great view, either! Located in Seagrove, 723 Whiskey Bravo is a great spot to cheer on your favorite team.

The Hubthe-hub-small

The Hub is fairly new on the 30A scene, but the venue has become a fast favorite! They have already had great turnouts for other big sporting events earlier in the year, so I’m sure that it will be a huge hotspot for football season. They have a giant projection screen for featuring the big games, plenty of different food options and a great outdoor atmosphere that is fun for the whole family!
