There is certainly no shortage of Halloween fun here in South Walton. Some residents have likely spent weeks preparing for all of the fun family festivities. There is so much fun happening the entire week leading up to Halloween and we don’t want you to miss out on any of these fun events. Here is a guide to all of the Halloween fun happening in our community!


Friday, October 23rd

petparadeHowl-O-Ween Pet Parade & Pumpkin Drop at Alys Beach

What could be better than seeing all of our South Walton resident’s four-legged friends dressed to impress in their crazy and creative pet Halloween costumes? This is going to be a great event for a great cause, benefitting Alaqua Animal Refuge.


The festivities start around 4pm and last until 6pm. Stick around until the end though, because a prize will be awarded for ‘Best Owner Dog Duo’ and they will drop a giant pumpkin filled with sweet treats for the kids. Bring your trick-or-treat buckets!


Saturday, October 24th

Monstrous Halloween Celebration & Trick-or-Treating at Rosemary Beachtrickortreat

You know who probably gives out really great Halloween candy? The Town Center businesses at Rosemary Beach! This is a spooky annual event held in North Barrett Square, filled with tons of children’s activities and a haunted town cemetery in the square. Get in on the spooky fun from 2-5pm.


Friday, October 30th

This is one of the most anticipated events each year on 30A, and don’t even think about showing up without a costume! It’s the “Night of the Dead” costume party and ‘only the dead can be the life of the party.’

Held at Caliza Pool, this event is everything that you could ever want out of a Halloween party and the DJ will be the only one keeping things alive – see what I did there? If you are anywhere near the area on Halloween, this is a ‘can’t miss’ event. Must be 21 years of age to attend. Tickets available here.

If you can’t make it to any of the week’s previous events, no need to worry! There are plenty of events for the whole family on the actual holiday itself!

Seaside Halloween

Join all of the Seaside merchants from 4-6pm for an evening filled with ghosts, goblins and princesses – and most importantly, lots of candy! Your kids can enjoy everything from haunted hayrides, spooky ghost stories and monster mashing with 30A radio!


Halloween on the BOOlevard of Fun

Bring you kids to Grand Boulevard from 4-7pm to trick-or-treat in the Town Center as all merchants participate in providing ‘ooey-gooey’ Halloween treats. Some may even have some special Halloween costume surprises in store for you and your family to enjoy!


Trick or Treat Street at Baytowne

Trick or Treat Street only opens one night of the year in Baytowne, and you don’t want to miss it! There will be frightening good music on the Events Plaza Stage, a special Halloween show in the lagoon, and some spooky fireworks to end the evening! Come on out from 6-8pm for a night of Halloween fun at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.


Halloween Party at Local Catch

Put on your best costume and head to Local Catch for a night of music with Forrest Williams Band complete with a dance party, drink specials and even a photographer to capture the spookiest moments. Party starts at 8:45pm.


The Red Bar Halloween Party

This annual party doesn’t really need an introduction, does it? If you love the Red Bar and you love Halloween, then come on out at 9m and dance the night away – and maybe even win the costume contest!
